I didn’t quite meet my goal of getting everything out by last month. Between edits and personal issues on the artist’s side, it just took longer than I wanted. But I will be releasing three new projects this month, including the sequel to The Sunlit Fairy, an entirely new romantic novel, and an erotic short on top of that! The goal will still be to try and get at least one thing out a month, even if it’s just a short or novella! But I have a lot of exciting ideas for future projects!  Thanks again to all who have read and may read in the future!

Even if no one may actually be reading these, since some readers actually read and enjoy my first book, I just thought I’d write a quick update on the progress for book 2 and some brief thoughts on book 1. Everything around self-publishing is new to me. I’ve already learned so much just from writing book 1—both in the process of writing and self-publishing itself—and what I like to write.

With some lessons learned, if I could go back, I probably would’ve just listed this series under Fantasy romance. Regardless of what I write, be it smut or something a bit more complex, there would always be some extra feels and world building. The Sunlit Fairy was originally going to be a novella series, but beta-readers more or less convinced me to just combine them into two full books.

But there’s just been a lot more ‘plot’ than I originally planned for these books, especially book 2. With the more I’ve learned, it seems like harem is usually in its own category away from erotica. It’s essentially made me worry that, especially with book 2, there might be more ‘plot’ than what erotica readers might usually be used to. Even if there is still plenty of steamy fairy sex.

Book 2, however, is officially no longer a rough draft. I’d be really happy if I could have it published before the end of August. Progress on my next project is already well underway. That one will be listed under fantasy romance and hopefully use lessons learned from my first project. If my writing stays consistent, the rough draft for that will be finished by or before beta reading is finished for book 2 of the Suntouched series. So I may end up doing a promo for the Suntouched series, having that be free, and doing the release of my Fantasy romance at the same time.
